Angels in the Forest
The story behind the CD's name:
It was a cool morning in central India. I sat and watched the unfolding of a new day. Peacocks called in the distance as Gray Langur monkeys gathered fruit under the shade of a Mohwa tree. The story of jungle life was rolling out with a procession of characters that have played a part in the drama of survival for thousands of years. The loud, hoarse call of a Sambar deer echoed in the hills. It was the alarm call alerting the creatures of the forest that a predator was near. A series of these warnings was sounded, and they were getting closer and closer. Suddenly, the monkeys scurried up the trees, and a strange silence fell over the land. The Sambars stopped calling, monkeys stopped chattering, and even the Peacocks lowered their tail feathers and faded into the background. The tall, golden grass shook betraying the stealthy gait of a large animal; and then it appeared……….. the wild Tiger. I was terrified by its power, and seduced by its beauty, there could not have been a more spiritual moment, even if I had seen Angels in the Forest.
